Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to the JC Explores website choose to interact in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction.

In each case, JC Explores collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with our site.

We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

I respect your privacy and I'm committed to protecting it. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information I may collect while using JC Explores and how it may be used. This statement only applies to this website.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Jay Explores collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how JC Explores visitors use its website. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website.

JC Explores also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments. We only disclose logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Cookies

Some blog posts and pages on JC Explores may refer to brands, products or services using affiliate links or affiliate widgets. This will be disclosed within the post or page (view my terms of use page for more information).

Affiliate links and affiliate widgets work by placing a cookie in your browser which tracks how you interact with the linked website. I may earn a commission in the form of money, coupons/vouchers or other incentives (like discounts) from you clicking on the affiliate link or interacting with the affiliate widget.

This is usually, but not necessarily entirely, as a result of you paying for a product, service or stay within a set time period from the linked website. Please refer to my cookie policy page to see a breakdown of cookies placed by my site. This does not add any additional cost to you.
